To help protect the environment, little things can make a huge difference.

For starters, we’ve installed energy efficient fluorescent light bulbs that use up to 75% less energy than regular bulbs, and our new appliances use up to 50% less energy and water. In fact, these and other green enhancements have earned us the prestigious Energy Star Label from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The hotel has also replaced environmentally-unfriendly water bottles with reusable glass bottles from Natura Water, the world leader in "gourmet water." We faithfully recycle cans, bottle, plastic, paper and cardboard. Upcoming initiatives include 100% recycled notepads for rooms and meetings, and completely biodegradable writing pens made of corn, as well as Marriott’s Spirit to Preserve program that provides donations to save the Amazon for each meeting we produce.

And, right in step with our green attitude, our location itself is eco-friendly. It’s easy to go, do and see everything without the stress or cost of renting a car and parking. Walk, or take the nearby Metro or a convenient bus–helping to reduce green-house gases by taking cars off the streets.
